Located in the Lower Heights District of Houston, TX, SheSpace immediately welcomes you with warmth and captivating design. The colorful and inspiring space was created for women, by women. Both chic and inspiring, the owners envisioned a woman-centric approach even from the initial design, requesting that members of the design team be women, thus bringing their unique perspective to the space. With Henderson Engineers’ mostly female team at the helm, we brought extra care to the building systems’ design. 

Working with the requests of the owners, Henderson conducted electrical and HVAC systems design services in addition to addressing fire and life safety requirements, allowing those who utilize the space to freely find sanctuary without the worry of anything behind the scenes. SheSpace features a bookstore, event space, conference and huddle rooms, lactation lounge, kitchen, podcasting/recording room, and workspaces decked in bright, bold colors. This versatile co-working spot helps provide a community for women to lead business, learn, study, and connect.
