In 2019, the City of Amarillo welcomed its minor league baseball team, the Amarillo Sod Poodles, and opened Hodgetown Stadium, a new, 6,631-seat ballpark. This multi-purpose venue was designed to spur economic development and host a number of concerts, high school and college games, and community events year-round.

Henderson Engineers provided the building systems design for this Art Deco inspired facility. The elements of this project included a 10,000 SF clubhouse, press rooms, meeting rooms, locker rooms, offices, training rooms, weight room, equipment room, batting tunnel, field maintenance, concessions, ticketing, team store, and commissary/kitchen, suites, and club/lounge spaces.
