Henderson Listed in VMSD Article on Innovative, Mobile-First Walmart

Henderson Engineers was included in a Visual Merchandising and Store Design (VMSD) article on Walmart’s mobile-first makeover. With the world quickly changing around all of us, retailers are reimagining shopping in the digital era with a focus on contactless technologies as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Elm Springs, Arizona, store is featured in the article, highlighting Henderson’s Bentonville, Arkansas office as the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineer for the mobile-first design. The facility drew inspiration from aviation facilities and museums. It includes wide walkways resembling an airport terminal and the in-store systems were designed around the digital experience where a customer’s cell phone acts like a remote control to the store.

For 50 years, Henderson has taken pride in working with some of the world’s largest retail brands globally. And we’re just getting started.
