Henderson Directors Named Power Players by Sports Business Journal

Julie LeClair, the director of network design at Henderson Engineers, has been named in the 2021 “Power Players: Sports Facility Technology” list by Sports Business Journal. The notable sports industry publication also included Doug Weis, Henderson’s director of technology and principal, in this year’s list. Power Players are considered leaders in designing, developing, and deploying technology that enhances fan experience within sports venues. Sports Business Journal made the selections based on independent insights from industry insiders.

LeClair, a 14-year Henderson veteran, specializes in network design consulting, which involves providing structured cabling, Wi-Fi, distributed antenna systems, and network electronics. Weis’ expertise is low voltage system design for various disciplines including telecom design, security design, acoustics consulting, broadcast design, wireless networks, and audio-video design. He has been with Henderson for 19 years.

“Congratulations to Julie and Doug for earning this well-deserved recognition from Sports Business Journal,” said sports practice director Ryan Starkovich, who oversees Henderson’s work with NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, esports, and collegiate teams. “Our clients can always count on them to deliver creative solutions for their stadiums and arenas regardless of size and scope. We’re proud to have their expertise at Henderson and it’s wonderful to see it celebrated industrywide.”

Both LeClair and Weis expressed gratitude for the distinction.

“It’s an honor to be selected among the top technology leaders within the sports world, especially as a result of feedback from our industry peers,” said LeClair. “This speaks volumes about the quality of work that our entire team delivers for clients. We’re incredibly thankful.”

“I’m grateful and thrilled to be listed alongside some of the most respected and talented technology professionals within sports,” echoed Weis. “As Julie stated, this recognition is a testament to the expertise of our entire team, which ensures we deliver stellar work for clients time and time again.”
