Fire Safety Expert Offers Solutions for Maintaining Healthy & Functional Sprinkler Systems

According to a report by the National Fire Protection Association, 20% of sprinkler system failures can be attributed to insufficient inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM). Christopher Culp, Henderson’s Director of Fire & Life Safety, shares expert advice on overcoming this challenge in a recent contributed article for PHCPPros, a plumbing, heating, cooling, and piping industry-focused publication.

Culp not only examines the detriments of inadequate ITM on sprinkler systems, he offers innovative solutions to combat these concerns, even in vacant buildings. Specifically, he walks through how to successfully conduct ITM both remotely and via automation, which can decrease travel and costs, and limit exposure to pathogens like COVID-19. Culp also highlights the benefits of conducting ITM documentation using software on tech devices like iPads.
