Spears School of Business - Oklahoma State University

The Spears School of Business is a world class facility designed to allow practical, flexible uses of classroom and lecture spaces. The building features five 50-80 seat classrooms with three optional instructor positions in each room, in lieu of fixed seating, allowing the faculty to organize their classroom geography to support their preferred method of instruction. In these classrooms, and throughout the building, high density wi-fi supports the bandwidth requirements of the 21st century learner and their faculty. There are also a number of smaller classrooms, conference/meeting rooms, and a simulated trading floor. The audio-video systems allow for students and staff to connect and display content, as they collaborate with one another — some of the rooms were also configured to allow for recording and streaming content.

The building is also home to a 150-seat lecture auditorium that provides an interactive experience for students and faculty — even featuring a system that facilitates live participation through students’ personal devices. The room has an array of screen size options and a control system to facilitate multiple projector and screen combinations to display content from a variety of inputs. It’s recording and live streaming capabilities utilize audio-video systems and telecommunications infrastructure. This allows for high quality recorded, digitized content which improves the playback experience.
