Moody Coliseum Renovation - Abilene Christian University

Since 1968, Moody Coliseum has been a staple for the Abilene Christian Wildcats. This multi-purpose facility houses the men’s and women’s basketball teams, volleyball team, chapel services for students and faculty, annual Sing Song student musical production, concerts and graduation ceremonies. It underwent a multi-million renovation to enhance the student-athlete and fan experience.

A major component of the project is the reconfiguration of the seating including rotating the court 90 degrees from its current orientation along with additional leg room and larger seats. In addition to the bowl modifications, upgrades included expanding the first floor concourse with new north and south lobbies, ticket office, larger concessions, and restroom facilities. New team spaces featured locker rooms, lounges, training rooms and weight room, practice venues, strength and conditioning and sport medicine suites, coaches’ offices, and meeting rooms. Second floor additions to the north and south sides of the bowl created a new VIP club space and office space for the basketball operations staff.

Now complete, the renovated Moody Coliseum will help in the university's recruiting efforts and holistic approach to athlete development.
