Modernizations of the David Grant Medical Center were needed in order to meet ever-changing healthcare demands. Henderson Engineers was involved in three phases of renovating this existing hospital which is home to the 60th medical group and the largest medical center for the Air Force in the continental United States.

The phases involved the CVOR, CVICU, pharmacy, behavioral health, medical records, and radiology departments along with other clinical functions. Phase II specifically included mutli-department renovations and upgrades to diagnostic imaging, the allergy and immunization clinic, optometry, the ear, nose, and throat clinic, and the musculoskelatal clinic.

Each renovation involved heavy phasing including temporary facilities and an integrated approach throughout design and construction to make sure that not only the facility, but also patient treatment, remained uninterrupted. Henderson worked with our design team partners, the Air Force, and the David Grant Medical Center to complete all phases successfully and safely with no disruption to the service of patients.
