At the Firestone Community Learning Center you’ll find the Firestone Theatre, a state-of-the-art facility that provides an avenue for students to practice their craft both on stage and off.

Serving as a space for concerts, presentations, meetings, lectures, assemblies, and musical acts, the learning center’s auditorium boasts enhanced sound equipment and behind-the-curtain rigging systems. With multiple operational modes, the sound systems features can be tailored for use by both novice and advanced technicians. The instrumental, vocal, and ensemble rooms were integrated into the audio-video systems to allow for virtual orchestra support for performances in the auditorium. Camera and audio feeds allow the conductor and band members to interface with on-stage performers from the back of house while those on-stage can see the conductors through video screens in the stage apron.

The theatre’s robust systems consist of the following features:
stage monitoring, audio-video control positioning, digital audio network, signal processing, production intercom system, audio connection panels, automatic microphone mixer, wireless microphone system, assistive listening, presentation projection system, lobby system, backstage audio, virtual orchestra, and main, delay, & front fill loudspeakers.
