The Donald Betz STEM Research & Learning Center is an interdisciplinary facility that focuses on enhancing research and simulated work environments for students as the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) strives to fulfill the ever-growing employment demands in STEM fields. The Research & Learning Center include various science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs such as biology, chemistry, engineering, forensic science, and nursing. UCO teamed with Henderson Engineers to provide building systems design that would help bring their new facility to life.

Our team provided drawings and specifications defining video projector, associated equipment, signal flow, and infrastructure pathways for the audio-video systems in various spaces throughout the building. For the building's data center our team specified structure cabling, ladder racking, cabinets, PDU's, as well as the grounding and bonding systems, lighting, and power layouts. In addition, we led the coordination of HVAC and power controls and their integration to the rest of the facility. Noise control services were provided as they related to the mechanical penthouse and the second floor areas immediately adjacent.
