Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) magazine has selected Laura Brandt, sustainability consulting manager at Henderson Engineers, among this year’s CSE 40 Under 40 cohort. The annual recognition is granted to 40 outstanding professionals under the age of 40 who are having a significant impact on the nonresidential building industry through their leadership, dedication and innovation, both professionally and personally. Â
In addition to being one of the first professionals globally to earn the Certified Decarbonization Professional (CDP) certification from ASHRAE, the American Society of Heating, Laura was selected given her careerlong commitment to environmentally friendly design practices. She has worked on numerous LEED Gold higher education facilities, LEED Federal government projects, and net-zero K-12 schools during her 10-year tenure at Henderson. In addition to helping clients achieve their green building goals, Laura serves as treasurer for the Arizona chapter of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL Arizona), an organization that promotes sustainable design and construction practices for high-tech laboratories and other high-tech facilities.Â
