Henderson Principal Discusses Hospital Fire Safety Issues with HFM Magazine

Mark Chrisman, Henderson’s healthcare practice director, recently provided his insights on the risks of oxygen-fueled fires in hospital settings to Health Facilities Management (HFM) magazine. HFM is a leading publication focused on health care design, construction, and operations.

Chrisman’s feature was part of an article examining the heightened risk of flammability within hospitals given the increased use of medical oxygen as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chrisman also emphasized the importance of federal adoption of the latest fire and life safety codes and standards to limit fire hazards.
