Henderson Fire Protection Expert Shares ITM Importance with Facility Maintenance Decisions

Henderson Engineers Associate Vice President and Director of Code Consulting Mark Chrisman wrote “Fire Protection: Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance” for Facility Maintenance Decisions and FacilitiesNet.com. He shared his expertise in coordinating the various facets associated with the inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) required to keep systems up to code, such as keeping track of when testing is required, determining who should complete the testing, reviewing the documentation for the tests, and keeping the process organized. As he notes in the article, it can mean the difference between a frustrating inconvenience and a disaster.

In addition to serving as the director of code consulting for Henderson’s fire and life safety group, Chrisman serves as the healthcare practice co-director. He works primarily in critical spaces with life safety systems and provides code and life safety consulting, fire modeling, fire suppression, and fire alarm design services for buildings nationwide.
