Kelley Cramm, mechanical technical manager at Henderson Engineers, was a recent guest on the ASHRAE Journal Podcast, a show by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Cramm’s episode is focused on the basics of variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, a type of all-electric heat pump. With more than four decades of industry experience, she shared expert insights on how to properly install VRF systems, which offer a cost-effective method of individual temperature control for multiple spaces in applications such as K-12 schools and office buildings.
