Henderson Technical Manager Named ASHRAE Fellow

Kelley Cramm, mechanical technical manager at Henderson Engineers, has been elected to the 2023 class of ASHRAE Fellows by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), an international trade group with more than 50,000 members globally. The distinction recognizes Cramm for “substantial contributions in HVAC&R and the built environment such as education, research, engineering design and consultation, publications, presentations and mentoring.” It’s one of the highest honors granted to ASHRAE members.

Cramm, who’s part of Henderson’s community sector, has been with the company since 2007 and has more than four decades of industry experience. Much of her career has been focused on technically challenging projects such as laboratories and pharmaceutical facilities, earning her industry acclaim and frequent speaking engagements at national conferences.

She has served on the ASHRAE Board of Directors as well as a variety of the organization’s technical committees, lending her expertise toward shaping design standards and guidelines. This includes Technical Committee 9.1, which is focused on large building air conditioning systems, and Technical Committee 9.10, which is focused on laboratory design. Additionally, Cramm served on the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Professional Landscape Architects from 2012 to 2017, helping ensure competent design practices in the State of Missouri.

“Congratulations to Kelley on this latest achievement in a career full of amazing accomplishments,” said Julie Pierce, community sector executive at Henderson. “Our team and our clients appreciate the perspective and expertise she brings to every project, especially when tackling complex issues, as well as the mentorship she provides up-and-coming engineers within our company and beyond. We admire her dedication to giving back to our industry and are incredibly proud of her for this well-deserved recognition from ASHRAE.”
