Student athlete success is about more than just working out and eating healthy, the Whitney Athletic Center at the University of Delaware provides a centralized hub for the whole student athlete. The 87,000 SF facility offers spaces for nutrition, physically therapy, academics, mental health check, and a state-of-the-art gym.
For those spaces to accomplish the goals of the University, Henderson Engineers provided comprehensive design services for everything from HVAC, to audio-video technology, to security, as well as commissioning. After several delays due to the COVID pandemic, the University of Delaware is ready and excited to welcome their student athletes to this new hub.
