Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall Expansion & Renovation - University of Georgia Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall Expansion & Renovation - University of Georgia

The University of Georgia Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall is the home to administrative staff for all 21 sports teams at the university. Built in 1987, the facility has undergone a number of renovations. The latest was the expansion of 165,000 SF that includes a larger capacity weight room, locker room, player's lounge, food service and nutrition center, and meeting spaces. The renovation piece of the project included improving the sports medicine facility space and track and field programs. Completed in 2021, Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall is a true state-of-the-art facility, and the Bulldogs can compete at the top level in their sports programs.

Henderson Engineers was proud to be part of the project, providing acoustics and telecom services. Our team reviewed the acoustical characteristics of the interior spaces of the facility such as suites, offices, locker room, press box, and provided design services to address improving noise isolation and vibration concerns. For telecom services, the team designed an interior structured cabling system infrastructure to support voice and data as well as Wi-Fi and network layout throughout the facility.
