Henderson Engineers’ leadership transition in the firm’s downtown Kansas City, Missouri office was detailed in the Kansas City Business Journal. The article noted that Andrea Mulvany has been elevated to director of KCMO operations and that she succeeds Julie Pierce, who has taken on additional leadership responsibilities over a business unit. Under their leadership, the KCMO office has grown from six employees to 27 with plans to continue hiring in 2019.
An associate vice president, Mulvany has been a leader in the Kansas City office since it opened in the Crossroads Arts District in 2013. Her team has helped design, build, and renovate some of the most iconic buildings throughout Kansas City, including the upcoming single terminal at KCI Airport, Pinnacle National Development Center , Kansas City University, and KC Live! in the Kansas City Power & Light District.
She also serves as the director of Henderson’s arts & culture practice and specializes in performing arts centers, commercial interiors, retail, healthcare, and educational facilities. Mulvany originally joined Henderson in 2006.
Pierce, a vice president, spent four successful years as the director of the KCMO office. She will continue to office out of the KCMO location and will remain involved in business development throughout Kansas City and the surrounding region. Pierce has extensive sports & recreation, higher education, and workplace experience.
