We know creating an efficient customer experience is a primary challenge for convenience retailers. Today’s on-the-go shoppers want more than just a quick fill-up, drinks, and snacks. They require seamless convenience both inside and outside the store – a goal only achievable through thoughtful engineering design.
We are thrilled to be the sole MEP consultant and prototype holder for Kum & Go’s new Market Place stores. We design these spaces to support the communities they operate in and the 480,000 customers they serve daily. This partnership is a joint commitment to emphasize sustainability throughout the design process. Henderson delivers efficient heating, cooling and refrigeration, low-flow water fixtures and irrigation controls and innovative placement of LED lighting on not only everything inside the building but also on the exterior including all site and fuel canopy lighting. We recently began designing for on-site electric car charging stations, as well.
Every new Kum & Go store since 2015 has been touched by our engineers. The company now operates 102 LEED-certified stores, more than any other c-store chain in the world, and ranks fifth in certification among all retailers. Now, that’s pretty impressive.
