As a kid, he wanted to be an architect – until he realized how much he loved clearly-defined boundaries. Thus, an engineer was born.
For the last five years, Russ has been teaching at K-State, coordinating their architectural engineering student design team, and fielding calls badgering him to come home to Kansas City and Henderson Engineers.
Russ brings a passion for the construction industry and a collaborative mind to our team. His understanding of high-occupancy facilities, such as convention centers, hospitals, and sports venues positions him to take a leadership role on major pursuits at Henderson.
“My time teaching has made me a better engineer,” Russ said. “Students think differently, which has made me think differently; to question everything, and to look for innovations at every turn.”
Welcome to the family, Russ.
