The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC) welcomes Henderson Engineers as a member. The NASRC is an action-oriented environmental nonprofit contributing to one of the most impactful solutions to climate change. Together with more than 130 organizations from every sector of the commercial refrigeration industry, the council is reducing greenhouse gas emissions from HFC refrigerants and paving the way for climate-friendly natural refrigerants.

NASRC membership represents Henderson’s commitment to sustainability and the processes that contribute to sustainable design solutions. Henderson is currently hiring for a Sustainability Director, a role that will be at the forefront of innovation and sustainability involvement, setting and executing sustainability goals companywide, with many of Henderson’s largest clients.

A leader in refrigeration design, Henderson has more than four decades of experience in the grocery and retail industries. Henderson’s in-house team of engineers combine refrigeration engineering expertise with in-store operations knowledge, customizing each design to create cost-effective, environmentally friendly systems.

Our dedicated refrigeration group officially started in 2007 following a request from a client and one of the nation’s leading retailers. With a history of designing refrigeration systems, the creation of this dedicated group was a logical next step.

Over the last decade, Henderson’s refrigeration group has grown to be highly regarded in all facets of refrigeration design, including pipe sizing, valve sizing, evaporator sizing, overall system compliance, construction drawings, energy management drawings, prime consulting for equipment replacement, age and condition scopes, refrigerant analysis (HFC, HFO, natural), energy efficiency analysis, refrigeration electrical design, and refrigeration commissioning. And today, several of the professionals who were part of the original Henderson refrigeration team, have grown into leaders, mentors, and some of the industry’s most trusted experts.
