For the 13^th consecutive year, Henderson Engineers earned recognition in Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) “Top 500 Design Firms” list. ENR, a leading trade magazine, publishes the annual rankings according to revenue earned from design services performed during the previous calendar year. Accordingly, this year’s rankings are based on revenue figures from 2020.

Henderson ranked 140 out of 500 overall and is one of only nine engineering firms in the Kansas City area to make the cut.

Our entire team delivered quality work and exceptional client experience throughout 2020 despite substantial challenges faced by people and businesses across the country due to COVID-19.”

Smith explained that Henderson was uniquely positioned for a strong showing.

“Our expertise in implementing design practices that reduce the risk of infection continues to be invaluable as our clients reopen their buildings,” he noted. “And while our work servicing industries like hospitality and foodservice was impacted, we saw strong growth in our warehouse and grocery practices because of the high consumer demand in those sectors. Pivot was not only a buzzword, but the reality of our operations.”
