At the Venue Operations Summit in Nashville on Monday, Henderson Engineers Vice President/Director of Technology Doug Weis and Associate/Senior Technology Specialist Mark Maurer presented on security system trends and infrequently utilized functions. The duo educated attendees on features that may exist in their security systems but aren’t being used. They also discussed industry trends.

The presentation was attended by various venue operations staff members from arenas, stadiums, performance venues, and convention centers. Weis and Maurer completed two sessions of the presentation on Monday.

“We’ve provided security design services at leading collegiate and professional arenas, stadiums, operations and training facilities, and ballparks,” Weis said. “It is important for us to speak at conferences because it gives us the opportunity to hear from the venue operators themselves about what challenges they face, so that we make sure we align our work going forward to support them.”

The presentation highlighted Henderson’s previous venue work at the Golden 1 Center, Los Angeles Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park, Sloan Park, Matthew Knight Arena, Oklahoma City Convention Center, Sacramento Convention Center, McCarran International Airport, and Sky Harbor International Airport.
