Ryan Starkovich

Sports Practice Director | Principal
Growing up in Western Wyoming, Ryan developed a love for family, friends, sports, and sneakers. A principal and our sports practice director, “Stark” always dreamed of spending his days in athletics facilities. That dream became a reality when he joined the Henderson Engineers family in 2007, fresh off his graduation from the University of Wyoming. Since then, Ryan has played an integral role in the growth and development of Henderson’s sports practice, where he has led the design of premier athletics stadiums, arenas, and practice facilities nationwide.

Serving as a project manager or principal-in-charge, he has often been the primary liaison to architects, owners, and contractors. In 2014, he was vital in helping secure the largest sports project in firm history. Ryan’s favorite moments in sports have materialized by watching the excitement of fans as they enjoy their experience in a brand-new space or facility, which makes the whole process meaningful for him. When he is not leading design implementation at high-profile venues or enjoying a game, you’ll find Stark hanging out with his family and friends. He also hones his craft as a sneakerhead, often sporting one of more than 40 pairs of Air Jordans found in his closet. For Ryan, sports is a lifestyle, and the same can be said for the specialized practice he directs at Henderson.
