Werth Family UConn Basketball Champions Center – University of Connecticut

Henderson Engineers provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire and life safety design services for this $36 million, 77,000 SF new Basketball Practice Facility at The University of Connecticut. This facility is home to the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Key components include basketball courts, weight room, athletic training room, sports medicine, lobby/Hall of Fame, meeting rooms, offices, locker rooms, athletes lounge, academic suite and a student athlete learning center. The facility provides much needed space for daily player, staff and coaches operations. In addition, the Athletic Center is seeking LEED Silver Certification.
