Law Enforcement Training Academy - Arizona Western College

Arizona Western College's Law Enforcement Training Academy brings classroom learning and hands-on training together in one modern facility with the help of Henderson Engineers' building systems design. Designed to fit seamlessly within the surrounding campus context, the facility was planned with long-term flexibility in mind to allow for future expansion as the program continues to grow. It supports a wide range of instructional and practical training needs, from multipurpose classrooms and defensive tactics space to an indoor 10-lane shooting range and outdoor driving and physical aptitude areas. The program also includes practical application rooms with full perimeter impact protection, secure equipment and ammunition storage, a firearms cleaning area, and support spaces for students and faculty.

To support the academy’s specialized training environments, our team coordinated closely with the local utility provider to design a new electrical service that meets the facility’s performance demands. This collaboration helped ensure the infrastructure could reliably support high-intensity training spaces while remaining energy efficient and easy to maintain. By focusing on practical, durable system solutions, Henderson helped create a facility that supports day-to-day operations while providing a safe, functional environment for both instructors and students.
