Following the 11th Healthcare Design and Construction Symposium that was attended by multiple Henderson employees on Aug. 9-10, a savvy social media approach from Executive Vice President Shane Lutz led to an interview and article mention on the Vanderbilt School of Engineering website.
After taking pictures of the Henderson Engineers and Henderson Building Solutions logo boards at the conference, Shane (@ksu_shane) tweeted the photos and included #Vanderbilt and #HendersonKnowsHealthcare in his 140 characters. He also tagged clients that were also sponsors of the conference.
“I later tried to follow one of the speakers – who didn’t appear to have a Twitter handle – so I mentioned his organization in my Tweet along with #Vanderbilt, which elevated the message,” Shane said.
Vanderbilt took notice, which led to writer Pam Coyle reaching out with an official interview request.
