The restoration design work by Henderson Engineers was mentioned in an Atchison Globe article about the Royal Theatre. The famous theatre won a key certification from the State Historical Preservation Office (SHPO) and has been added to the Kansas historical registry.
Henderson has been hired to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing, acoustics, and architectural lighting design services as the theatre is brought back to life. The firm has collaborated with WDM Architects based out of Wichita on the renovation.
