Henderson Honored with Employee Resource Group of the Year Award by Mid-America LGBT Chamber

Henderson Companies, the parent company of Henderson Engineers and Henderson Building Solutions, is a proud recipient of the Employee Resource Group of the Year award from the Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Granted as part of the chamber’s 2025 Business Pride Awards, the accolade honors UNITE, Henderson’s people resource group focused on supporting LGBTQIA+ Henderson employees and families by spreading a message of inclusion to clients and the broader community.  

Since UNITE’s founding in 2020, Henderson has launched initiatives and adopted policies that continue to make a difference in the lives of LGBTQIA+ individuals within its walls and beyond, setting a model for inclusivity within the architecture, engineering, and construction industry.  This includes parental leave for adopting parents, benefits for registered domestic partners, allyship training, and a self-reporting tool that allows employees to provide information about how they self-identify.
