KC Current, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team based in Kansas City, Mo., is set to open the world’s first stadium purpose-built for a professional women’s sports team. Henderson Engineers is serving as the lead building systems design engineer on the $117 million project and the firm’s engineering and design team for the facility is fittingly women-led.
