Two venue projects with building systems designed by Henderson Engineers have been named among the 2024 VenuesNow All-Stars by VenuesNow magazine, a leading trade publication focused on music, sports, and meetings venues globally. The annual All-Star recognition highlights standout professionals, projects, and live events that have positively reshaped the venue industry.
The Henderson Engineers projects honored this year include:
- All-Star New Building: CPKC Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.
As the world’s first stadium purpose built for a professional women’s sports team, the KC Current’s CPKC Stadium transformed the sports landscape upon its March 2024 grand opening. Henderson Engineers served as Engineer of Record for the $125 million, 11,500 capacity venue, which earned a LEED Gold certification. Sister company Henderson Building Solutions provided commissioning services for the historic project.
- All-Star Renovation: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, La.
A five-decade icon of the NFL and home to the New Orleans Saints, Caesars Superdome recently underwent a groundbreaking $560 million renovation. The five-year undertaking preserved the venue’s exterior while modernizing the fan experience with new premium spaces, enhanced Wi-Fi and cellular service, and upgraded amenities for fans. Henderson Engineers served as Engineer of Record for the project, which will receive the national spotlight as the stadium hosts the 2025 Super Bowl.
