Danny McGrail, science and technology practice director at Henderson Engineers, is among the 2023 recipients of Civil + Structural Engineer magazine’s Rising Stars in the AEC Industry Award. The recognition honors up-and-coming leaders in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) “whose exceptional technical capability, leadership ability, effective teaching or research, or public service has benefited the design professions, their employers, project owners, and society.”

Since joining Henderson in 2016, McGrail has held various progressively responsible roles including project manager, practice leader, and his current position as practice director overseeing Henderson’s work within the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) space. His success extends beyond work with his leadership involvement in the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and more.
