Henderson Engineers Healthcare Practice Director/Vice President Mark Chrisman was honored with the prestigious HCD 10 Award in the building professional category from Healthcare Design Magazine. The HCD 10 honors industry members across 10 categories of nominees, celebrating the broad spectrum of outstanding professionals in the AEC industry. Specifically, the program recognizes accomplishments over the 12 months prior to the nomination period.

Chrisman has led Henderson’s efforts for converting alternative structures for COVID-19 patients and implementing negative isolation rooms at healthcare facilities throughout the pandemic. He guides Henderson’s role with innovative healthcare design in the wake of COVID-19 and developed guidelines for infection control. Leading Henderson’s healthcare practice nationwide, Chrisman thrives in coordinating strategy and providing outstanding client service.

Originally joining Henderson in 2004 as a fire and life safety engineer, Chrisman has designed healthcare environments for some of the biggest names in the industry, providing technical expertise on fire protection and code consulting. He is a rare breed of smart and holds three engineering degrees – including a Ph.D. – from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he has been featured as an outstanding alumnus.
