Arizona State Football Stadium Renovation Covered by ENR Southwest

Sun Devil Stadium – home to Arizona State football – was recently profiled by Engineering News-Record Southwest as the stadium renovation project received another budget increase. Henderson Engineers provided the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, acoustics, security, and specialty lighting services for this 3-phase renovation and expansion of ASU’s stadium. In addition to the renovation of the 397,265 SF stadium, there was also a 53,000 SF Student-Athlete Facility. We partnered with HNTB and Gould Evans to form the design team.

The project consisted of demolition and construction to accommodate the program and upgrades to and/or replacement of the following systems: MEP, life safety, fire protection, and telecommunications. It also included repair and upgrade of the building envelope and site, and was designed to address the ASU Sustainability Guidelines. The project is pursuing LEED Silver certification.
