Frank O'Mara Track & Field High Performance Center - University of Arkansas Frank O'Mara Track & Field High Performance Center - University of Arkansas

The programs for men’s and women’s track and field are now housed under one roof at the University of Arkansas. The new, 21,800 square-foot structure brings an array of operations and training facilities under one roof for the student-athletes and staff to enjoy. From training and locker rooms to lounge areas and hydrotherapy, this impressive facility enhances the experience.

Henderson Engineers provided services for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, telecom, audio-video systems design as well as sustainability and energy modeling services to reduce the energy footprint of the project. The project saves 22% on energy costs, as compared to the ASHRAE 90.1-2010 Appendix G Performance Rating Method. Envelope improvements reduced interior lighting power density, and a high-efficiency district energy system all contribute to the energy efficient design. Our team is proud that the project was awarded LEED Silver certification based on the integrated design team approach.
