As the world’s largest generic drug manufacturer and one of the largest pharmaceutical companies worldwide, Teva Neuroscience turned to Henderson to engineer several key components during the construction of their new North American headquarters located in Overland Park, Kansas.
In the planning stage, we learned that employee safety is critically important for Teva. To support this, we designed an advanced emergency and standby power distribution system to maximize security for employees during operation. This system also includes monitoring of specific areas of the building for intrusion detection, building and parking garage security, and pharmacological product secure shipping, receiving, and storage areas.
Henderson also helped Teva focus on opportunities to improve employee efficiency and productivity. Teva’s headquarters now hosts a pharmaceutical repackaging area, data center, full service commercial kitchen, dining area, convenience store, and fitness center. The signature space for the new Teva corporate headquarters is a round auditorium, spacious enough to accommodate 300 people. This high-end space utilizes large projection screens and projectors, powered furniture, and integrated audio/video conferencing capabilities with drop-down microphones.
