After experiencing exponential growth, Signal Theory needed a space that could accommodate their current needs but would allow for continued growth as well. Being part of an iconic Kansas City neighborhood was important to this brand agency so after settling on the unique personality and convenience the Westport District had to offer, the company’s new home became part of a larger development project in Manor Square. Signal Theory partnered with Henderson Engineers to provide field verification services as well as building systems design for their new office.

Throughout the facility, we utilized new controls compatible with the building’s existing mechanical control system and, where applicable, our team reused the floor’s main trunk and branch ducts. Focusing on space comfortability, the building is served by roof top units configured with variable air volume. Small gathering spaces were all equipped with portable audio-video devices, the breakroom areas and the reception lounge with televisions and digital signage, and the office’s Focus space with camera, microphone, and recording capabilities. To control reverberant build up, careful consideration was given to acoustic materials and systems and to a sound masking system in open areas.

Signal Theory’s company mission is simple, “be remarkable.” We’re proud to have played a part of creating a space that supports their team in doing just that.
