After the passing of a $114 million bond in 2016, North Kansas City School District was on track to add number 22 and 23 to their elementary school line-up. Henderson Engineers was brought on to design the technology infrastructures for both elementary schools. The audio-video systems design included classroom AV systems and CATV distribution. Technology services included a structured cabling systems and IP-based loudspeaker paging system throughout the buildings. Access control, intrusion detection, and video intercom and video surveillance systems were part of the security system design. Our acoustical consultants also provided recommendations relating to architectural and mechanical noise control through the schools.
Northview and Rising Hill Elementary Schools opened their doors to the growing population of future leaders in Kansas City’s northland in the fall 2018. Each will have a capacity for about 600 students and staff that can rest assured their new schools are ready to effortlessly support their ventures in learning and success through state-of-the-art technology.
