The Lied Center at the University of Kansas strives to be a catalyst for the arts sparking creativity, fostering engagement, and building community. Each year, the cultural hub presents a variety of world-class artists that gives attendees the opportunity to explore, participate, and create.

Henderson Engineers designed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and technology systems for three additions to the facility. The expansion included an education center, offices, and lobby. The additional space provided the Lied Center with more room for exhibits, performances, and other special events.

Our team also incorporated a cutting-edge voice and data infrastructure system into the facility. We used existing space for the system so newly constructed areas wouldn’t have to store this back-of-the-house function.

The Lied Center envisions a world where the arts are universally valued and seen as essential to the human experience. The Henderson team is proud to facilitate the technical elements that give life to artistic experiences.
