Innovation Plaza - Texas A&M University Medical Center

Henderson Engineers is currently providing building systems design services for Texas A&M University’s (TAMU) landmark 5-acre campus. The phased plaza will include:

Student Housing: 19-story, 714-bed student housing tower that will house not only students, but also a 2,800-space garage and 5,550 SF of retail and dining areas

Integrated Medical Plaza: 13-story parking structure with a 17-story integrated medical building above it that will be designed to suit medical, clinical, biomedical, technology, and office space

For these high rise spaces, our team’s design scope includes stairwell pressurization, emergency generators, centralized domestic hot water heating system, storm and roof drainage, firm alarm design, main electrical room and building distribution, standpipes, and aircraft warning lighting.

The infrastructure includes dedicated MEP systems to support speculative use for biomedical and technology lab spaces, as well as collaborative office environments.
