Cerner Continuous Campus

Cerner Corporation’s needs are constantly evolving with the dynamics of the changing business structure surrounding the healthcare industry.

So when Henderson was selected to lead the functional design of the healthcare technology company’s new headquarters, our workplace team first learned how Cerner helps their customers exchange health information and engage their patient populations.

This smart approach to design influenced every system across the campus. As a result, Henderson designed the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in addition to acoustical and fire and life safety service for the 2,800 person team located in Kansas City, KS.

These systems brought to life an eight story building, divided into a first floor lobby, cafeteria, coffee shop, fitness center, pharmacy, health clinic, multiple globally-connected conference rooms, lounges for training and a dedicated event center with seven stories of office tower above — each floor roughly measuring 30,000 SF.

Henderson Building Solutions’ construction management team and commissioning experts also lead the implementation and testing of each system throughout the 650,000 square foot site.
