Northland Innovation Campus & SAGE Center - North Kansas City SD Northland Innovation Campus & SAGE Center - North Kansas City SD

Inserted into a newly-constructed building in the North Kansas City School District, the Northland Innovation Campus is an environment that encourages elementary-age students to think creatively and work collaboratively with classmates. This state-of-the-art complex is truly worthy of its “innovation” designation.

The first two levels of the building house the North Kansas City School District’s Students in Academically Gifted Education (SAGE) Program and includes a multipurpose cafeteria, open learning spaces, and a collaborative teaching space that is versatile and filled with bright, creative colors. This is the first time all SAGE students are in one building, giving teachers the opportunity to share resources and collaborate.

Northwest Missouri State University – Kansas City Campus occupies the top floor and features 12 classrooms, conference rooms, collaboration areas, a student lounge, a faculty lounge, and administrative areas. Each classroom has a flexible furniture layout and configuration allowing each faculty member the ability to create a unique learning environment that aligns with their style of instruction. Additionally, the facility incorporates a modern playground and a terrace designated for outdoor learning.
