Echo Canyon School - Scottsdale USD 48 Echo Canyon School - Scottsdale USD 48

Originally named the Arcadia Neighborhood Learning Center, Echo Canyon School is one of 24 schools in the Scottsdale Unified School District. The campus includes five buildings and serves 500 students in grades K-8.

Henderson Engineers collaborated with the district’s maintenance facility staff and contractors during every step of the design process to produce low maintenance and energy-efficient systems throughout the campus.

Our team utilized built-in redundancy and self-contained variable air volume conditioning units with a campus wide condenser water loop that tempered the outside air. In addition, other energy-efficient systems included low-flow faucets, reduced-water water closets, plumbing fixtures with electronic sensors, LED lighting, bi-level dimming, occupancy sensors, and daylight harvesting systems.
