Henderson Engineers Associate and Lead Project Manager Chris Ahern was recently featured in the Kansas City Business Journal People on the Move section. Ahern joined Henderson’s sports and venue practice, where he is overseeing a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design staff for a team that designs professional, collegiate, and recreational stadiums, arenas, and multipurpose facilities. He previously served as a principal at PKMR Engineers and led their Manhattan, Kansas, office in addition to teaching at Kansas State University.
During his tenure at K—State, Ahern received the prestigious Clair A. Mauch Steel Ring Advisor of the Year Award in 2015 for his efforts in advising student groups. He also won the 2016 Mark Keenan Family Architectural Engineering and Construction Science Faculty Award, the 2015 National Electrical Contractors Association Faculty Award, and the 2014 GE Johnson Faculty Award for his efforts in teaching and advising students.
