Prior to the NFL championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, Henderson Engineers put together a human Chiefs logo that was specifically engineered by Electrical Technical Leader Erin Smith to meet exact specifications. It included 225 employees and was broadcast on Facebook Live.
The feat was covered internationally by Yahoo! News in the UK, The Herald Sun in Melbourne, Australia, and The Cairns Post in North Queensland, Australia.
Locally in the Kansas City area, 41 Action News and The Kansas City Star were on-hand to document the creation of the logo with footage and a time lapse.
Nationally, the accomplishment was covered by Yahoo News throughout the United States, the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), 6 News WJAC-TV (Johnstown, Pennsylvania), ABC 3 WEAR-TV (Pensacola, Florida), ABC 8 Eyewitness News WCHS-TV (Charleston, West Virginia), CBS 3 WWMT-TV (Kalamazoo, Michigan), FOX 31 WXFL-TV (Albany, Georgia), and News Channel 9 ABC WTVC (Chattanooga, Tennessee).
On social media, the photo was posted on Henderson’s channels and was shared thousands of times.
Henderson Engineers and Henderson Building Solutions, which are headquartered in suburban Kansas City and also have a Kansas City, Missouri office, completed work with on the Chiefs Kingdom Drum Deck and are working with the franchise on ongoing offseason projects.
