On March 8, 2023, International Women’s Day, several Henderson Engineers employee-owners attended the On The Rise event in Kansas City (KC), an annual leadership forum geared toward empowering women in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. The Henderson-sponsored summit featured insights and advice from top KC executives on how women in AEC can navigate their careers successfully. Henderson principal Katelyn DePenning participated in a panel discussion about the historic women-led KC Current Stadium project, the first ever stadium purpose-built for a professional women’s sports team and a testament to the power of inclusion.
