Henderson Engineers’ Women’s Network Hosts Fourth Annual Golf Clinic

Empow[HER], the dedicated women’s network at Henderson Engineers, hosted its fourth annual golf clinic on May 16 at Sykes/Lady Overland Park Golf Club. The event was designed to make it possible for women to learn the basic skills necessary to be comfortable on the golf course. Instruction was provided by Maureen Olson, the 2016 Player Development Award winner for the Midwest section of the PGA.

There were 74 total attendees at the event. Participants split into two groups. The first played nine holes on the Par 3 course with volunteers providing tips throughout the round. Olson led in an instructional session with the rest of the women. It featured 45 minutes focusing on the short game and the remaining 45 minutes working on tee shots.

The popular annual event concluded with a happy hour, dinner, and traditional golf raffle prizes for attendees at the end.
