Henderson Engineers associate and senior electrical engineer, Devin Caruthers, was featured in the Kansas City Area Development Council’s annual magazine, KC Options.
The latest issue focused on philanthropy in Kansas City and Devin was one of several local individuals featured. The two-page article highlighted Devin’s passion for giving back to underprivileged youth in the community.
During his 16 years at Henderson, Devin has consistently worked to provide opportunities for Kansas City’s underserved students to become inspired to pursue a STEM career. From donating supplies that promote STEM education to visiting elementary students — Devin has lived out Henderson’s “give back” culture which provides paid time off for employees to volunteer. Devin recently hosted a free workshop for high school guidance counselors through Henderson’s HYPE (Helping You Prosper in Engineering) initiative to help encourage those counselors to expose students to a career in engineering.
In 2016, Devin was the recipient of Henderson’s Living the Purpose Award in the “give back” category.
