Justin Older

Mechanical Technical Director | Associate
Whether he's shredding the slopes, or playing a friendly game of golf, this Missourian dreams of being outdoors. Justin's sports mentality flows into his work ethic, where he's constantly scoring for Team Henderson. Justin started his career with Henderson Engineers in 2006. He’s been a part of several roles across the firm in many sectors including retail, business, sports, venue, and education giving him a well-rounded idea of the industry as a whole. Now, as a mechanical technical director, he spends most of his time improving our internal tools, schedules, specs, and control assets; reviewing designs for quality; mentoring younger designers; and creating proprietary tools that help make projects across the company more accurate and efficient.

Justin’s favorite part of his job is the continuous pursuit of learning and how there's always something new to research or learn from a colleague. As the son of two teachers, it’s no surprise he’s focused his career on educating and mentoring. Justin was instrumental in designing and launching our internal Fundamentals Training program where he is one of the instructors. He also helps out with onboarding efforts for new employees and serves on our REAL TALK, a subcommittee of one of Henderson's diversity, equity, and inclusion affinity groups focused on providing education about issues surrounding race.
