COURSE OVERVIEW

The purpose of this course is to educate the audience of both the energy and environmental impact of supermarket refrigeration and what different systems and processes are available to address those concerns. Additionally, this course will better inform the audience of building codes and their interpretations as they impact refrigeration in supermarkets, specifically refrigeration leak detection.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Review Refrigeration 101 and the basics of how refrigeration works.
  2. Understand refrigeration life—cycle cost impacts to the grocer.
  3. Understand the impact of refrigeration on global warming.
  4. Learn proper design and use of refrigerant leak detection.
